I broke my right big toe off by clipping the nail with my left foot. It snapped sideways at the knuckle. No blood came out but I could see inside, under the flesh. It was still just about hanging on. It hurt. A discomfort around the severed joint but nothing as agonising as it should have been. I cried for help. No one was there.
