i have cut my right arm deeply. i can see the flesh and so deep into my body. there is no blood. the skin is neatly rent in a straight line. a clean cut with a sharp tool rather than any kind of tear or rip. ⎾⎾⎾ is with me, watching me stare at the cut, but she says or does nothing. as i move my arm around and flex my muscles, the skin and slightly-protruding yellow fat around the mouth of the gape flops loosely, as if it is a sleeve. i can see far inside, but there doesn't appear to be any bones. despite this, i can still move freely. there is still no blood. there is no pain. as i peer deeper inside, i can make out individual muscles inside my forearm. i see their distinctive shape and i see the long tough cartilage and sinews accompanying them, but they still don't appear to be connected to any bones. my arm is hollow.
